Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Rodney J.  McKinley, U.S. Air Force, Retired


Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Rodney J.  McKinley, U.S. Air Force, Retired Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Rodney J. McKinley represented the highest enlisted level of leadership, and as such, provided direction for the enlisted corps and represented their interests, as appropriate, to the American public, and to those in all levels of government.  He served as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force.  Chief McKinley is the 15th chief master sergeant appointed to the highest non-commissioned officer position.  His background includes various duties in medical, aircraft maintenance, and served ten years as a first sergeant.  He also served as a command chief master sergeant at wing, numbered air force and major command levels.  He is currently the co-chair for the Air Force Retiree Council and continually is a guest speaker at bases across the Air Force.  He is an honors graduate of St. Leo College, Florida and received his Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
